He was loved and cherished by many people including: his spouse Norah M. McDonald (O'Sullivan); his children, James W. McDonald Jr. (Patricia) of Falmouth, Patricia Calter (Thomas) of Kingston, John McDonald (Cathy) of Avon, Robert McDonald (Mary Louise) of Taunton, MaryAnn Miller (Russell) of Avon and Jean Vitale (Gene) of Plymouth; and his siblings, Jean Patuto of Watertown and Thomas McDonald. He was also cherished by 16 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
