Hughes of Avon, Massachusetts, born in Boston, Massachusetts, who passed away on January 13, 2024, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank P. Callahan and Isabel Callahan (Griffin); her husband Gerald S. Hughes; and her siblings, Ellen Chute, Florence Peneau, Dorothy Capavella, Ruth McLane, Frank, Edward, Robert, James and Walter Callahan.
She is survived by: her children, Katherine Chapelle (late Mark) of Avon, Stephen Hughes Hughes (Denise) of Rockland and Geralyn Hughes of Avon; her grandchildren, Mark Chapelle (Allison), Melissa Tilley (Justin), Matthew Chapelle, Kaitlin Hughes and Bridget Hughes; her great grandchildren, Mason, Connor, Corrine, Chloe, Mark Jr. and Kinsley; and her siblings, Marian Hickey, Bernard Callahan and Lawrence Callahan.
