It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Joan E. Westerback Courville (Auburn, Massachusetts), born in Worcester, Massachusetts, who passed away on February 18, 2025, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her son Richard Renauld; her granddaughter Katie Courville; her daughter-in-law Mariellen Courville; her son Edward Courville; her siblings, Edward, Jack, Mike and Rose "Ro Ro" Berkiel; and her parents, Dominic Ruggieri and Gladys M. Ruggieri (White).
She is survived by: her husband James P. Courville; her grandchildren, Ricky, Justin (Ashley), Nils, Jake (Jasmine), Luke (Liz), Keke, Mike (Kara) and Adam; her great grandchildren, Abbey, Madilynne, Maverick, Itzel, Phoebe, Summer, Davian, Kieran and Aiden; her sister-in-law Mary Ruggieri (Gentile); and her niece Lori Ruggieri-Boucher (Mike).
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Britton-Wallace Funeral Home (91 Central St, Auburn, MA 01501). A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Catherine of Sweden Church (596 Cambridge St, Worcester, MA 01610).
