He was predeceased by: his granddaughter Madeline Reid Blanchette; his brother William R. Reid; and his parents, Donald C. Reid and Marguerite V. Reid (Hoel). He is survived by: his wife Catherine Reid (Gunderman); his children, Pamela Reid (Gabriela Sievers), James E. Reid, Jr. and Melissa Blanchette (Michele); his granddaughter Ayden Reid Blanchette; and his sister Barbara Guido (Reid). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
