He was predeceased by: his parents, William Caven Hunter and Florence Mable McQuarrie (Cale); his brothers, Malcolm McQuarrie and Lawrence Palmer; his son-in-law Douglas Phillips; and his granddaughter Tara Phillips.
He is survived by: his sister Margaret Farmer of Shelburne, VT; his former wife Betty A. McQuarrie of Northampton; his daughters, Nancy Phillips of Austin, TX, Laura Sienkiewicz (Gary) of Northampton and Amy Daly Gardner (Michael Gardner) of Auburn; and his grandchildren, Jason Phillips, Daniel Sienkiewicz, Jackson Sienkiewicz, Sarah McFadden, Fiona Daly, Lucas Daly, Alejandro Medina and Michael Gardner Jr..
