He was predeceased by: his father John D. Baker, Jr.; and his brother Thomas F. Baker. He is survived by: his mother Joan Baker, Jr. (Atkins); his fiancée Mary McCarthy (Bagnell); and his siblings, John D. Baker (Diane), Patrick R. Baker and Mary P. Vaillancourt (John). He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
