He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert W. Carmichael Sr. and Florence A. Carmichael Teixeira (Duffany); and his brothers, David L. Carmichael and Bruce H. Carmichael. He is survived by: his spouse Margaret "Margie" B. Carmichael (Nolin); his stepchildren, Diane A. Garcia of San Diego, CA and Karen M. Koziol (Andrea L. McMahon) of North Smithfield, RI.; his grandchildren, Tyler P. Koziol (Michaela Martins) of Cumberland, RI and Brittany N. Garcia (Brian Stevens) of San Diego, CA.; his siblings, Kathleen E. Bourgoin (Lee E. Bourgoin) of Falmouth, MA and Janice M. Russell of Pawtucket; and his husband James "Jim" E. Russell. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, his extended family, many dear friends.
