He was loved and cherished by many people including: his spouse Susann Bessette (Butler); his parents, Ernest Bessette and Yvonne Bessette (Laliberte); his children, Stephen Bessette, Sean M. Bessette (Joline) and Danielle Lamanuzzi (Michael) of Seekonk; his siblings, Bernard Bessette (Carol) of Pawtucket and Marie Gentile (Edward) of Coventry; and his child Normand Bessette, Jr.. He was also cherished by six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
