With solemn reverence, we commemorate John Robert Dent of Attleboro, Massachusetts, whose life came to an end on January 6, 2025 at the age of 77, leaving behind cherished memories. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Dent and Jean Dent; and his brother-in-law Joe Nunn (Karen). He is survived by: his wife Patricia Dent; his children, Rebecca (Jen) and Ethan; his granddaughters, Franny and Lulu; his uncle James Dingle; his siblings, Katherine Papanicholas (Vaughn), James Dent (Marsha), Marge Dent and Barbara Meyers (Phil); and his siblings-in-law, Elizabeth Traver (Andy), Margaret Moss (Greg) and Robert Wishart (Roberta). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews, as well as many first cousins.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 7th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Roberts and Sons Funeral Home (30 South St, Foxborough, MA 02035). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Mark Episcopal Church (116 South St, Foxborough, MA 02035). He played pickleball religiously until Covid made it more difficult and was a regular participant in RockSteady, a boxing program for people with Parkinson's that provided both physical exercise, emotional support, friendship, and there found another family.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that gifts be made to support the Neurotherapeutics Fund at Brigham and Women's Hospital.
