He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur L. Caouette and Rose Caouette (Lawrence); his wife Virginia Caouette (Butler); and his siblings, Raymond, Beatrice and Joan.
He is survived by: his children, Kathryn Desrosiers (David) of Warwick, RI, James E. Caouette Jr. (Susan) of Cumberland, RI, Sandra Crane (Brent) of Winterville, NC, Ernest "Buddy" Caouette of Lincoln, RI and Melissa Bustamante of Pawtucket, RI; and his brother Arthur "Lucky" Caouette. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
