She was predeceased by: her husband Joseph Gomes; her parents, Joseph Silva and Maria Silva (Santos); and her siblings, Mary Pacheco, Joseph Silva, Alice Veader, Lucy Mello, Manuel Silva and Dolores Costa.
She is survived by: her children, Mary Simpson (Lester), Virginia Tucker (Richard), Joseph Gomes (Maria), Catherine Fernandes (Arthur), Edward Gomes (Cheryl), Anne Bolton and Laurie Frazier (Bruce). She is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and one great great grandson.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Hilda's name may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or you may simply say a loving prayer in her honor.
