He was predeceased by: his parents, William Joseph Mendes and Cecelia Mendes Crotty (DaSilva). He is survived by: his wife Mary Jane Mendes (DeLaiarro); his daughter Gabriella "Gabby" R. Mendes of Attleboro, MA; his siblings, William E. Mendes of Plainville, MA and Paula DiNocco (Paul DiNocco) of Wakefield, MA; and his friends, Michael St. Pierre of North Attleboro, MA and Shannon M. Aguiar of Attleboro, MA.. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
With strict adherence to applicable Covid-19 health precautions, including social distancing and the use of facemasks, family and friends are cordially invited to honor "Poag" by attending a Memorial Visitation in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro, MA, on Friday, July 31, 2020 from 4:00 p. m. until 7:00 p. m.
