He is survived by: his parents, Gladys Fortune (La Pointe) and John Fortune; his spouse Anna Doake; his children, Anne Fortune, Margaret O'Connell, Judith Tavares, Dwight Fortune, Jr. and James Fortune; and also Anna. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
