He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. Thomas S. Hayden and Virginia Day Hayden of Newton; his brother Donald Hayden; and his brother-in-law Gordon Nyquist. He is survived by: his wife Patricia "Pat" Mahon; his son Tom M. Hayden; his daughter-in-law Jenna Hayden of Norfolk; his daughter Monica Hayden of Oakland, CA; his grandchildren, Jack, Charlotte and James Hayden; and his sisters, Suzanne Hayden (Fritz Farrington) of Yarmouth, Carolyn Hayden (Ted Hodgen) of Shutesbury, Janet Jagger (Warren Jagger) of Providence, RI and Cynthia Nyquist of San Diego, CA. He is also survived by loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.
