He is survived by: his wife Susan Derynck of Athol; his children, Laura Scharosch (Jim) of Iowa, James Derynck (Martha) of Michigan and Thomas Derynck of Athol; his grandchildren, Austin Scharosch of Iowa, Rheanne Abeidi of New York, Nickolas Imvivo of New York and Tyler Pank of Michigan; his great grandchildren, Tally Dugan and Keoni Dugan; his siblings, Randy Derynck (Jade) of Iowa, Deanna Jobe (Greg) of Iowa and Sandy Smith (David) of Texas; and his sister-in-law Nancy Derynck of Iowa. He is also survived by several nephews and nieces.
