With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Richard C. Smith in Athol, Massachusetts, born in Farmington, Connecticut, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. He was predeceased by: his parents, Orrin C. Smith and Carrie Smith (Price); and his brothers, Douglas Smith (Rockingham Smith) and Harry Church. He is survived by: his children, Sandra Hamilton of Hinsdale, NH, Cheryl Piquette (Wayne) of West Virginia and Rockingham Smith of Hinsdale, NH; his close friend Virginia Cobbett of Athol; and his siblings, Frederick Smith of West Virginia, Robert Smith of Rhode Island and Carrie Bell Hayes of Waterloo. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
