Leon A. Bedard Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Leon A. Bedard of Athol, Massachusetts, born in Newport, Vermont, who passed away on January 22, 2021, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred M. Bedard and Jessie M. Bedard (Bidwell); his wife Tekla Bedard (Leszczuk); and his sister Lucille Hoadley. He is survived by: his siblings, Jean Duplessis of Athol, Arlene Warner of Rutland, VT and Arnold Bedard of Buffalo, Missouri; his stepchildren, Helena Nyman of Gardner and Stephan Lech of Pepperell; and his stepgrandchildren, Kristina Lucas of Clinton, MA, Robert P. Nyman of South Carolina, Joanna Williams of Pepperell and Travis Lech of Pepperell. He is also survived by 13 nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made in his memory to Our Lady Immaculate Church, 192 School St., Athol, MA 01331.
