She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Stanley Young, Sr. and Nellie Young (Muzzy); her spouse Arthur A. Destroismaisons of Athol; her children, Cheryl Destroismaisons (Paul Allen) of Wilmington, NC, Michelle Andrews (John) of Apex, NC, Gabrielle Allen-Destroismaisons, Stella Allen of Wilmington, NC, Lilly Andrews and Dylan Andrews of Apex, NC; and her brother Stanley Young, Jr. (Barbara). She was also cherished by several nieces and nephews.

Memorial donations may be made in Kathleen's honor to the Lupus Foundation of America or the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
