He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald H. Bassett and Ruby Bassett (Loomis); and his siblings, Cecil Bosworth, Richard Bosworth and Edna Castine.
He is survived by: his wife Helen L. Bassett (Young) of Athol; his children, Kenneth Basset (Gayle) of Athol, Keith Bassett (Kathy) of Troy, NH and Rebecca Bassett (Mark Meunier) of Gardner; his grandchildren, Keith Bassett (Mayra), Garrick Bassett (Cera), Jacob Bassett, Carley Bassett, Katelyn Koski and Emily Desruisseau; his great grandchildren, Ethan, Jillian Bassett and Violet Bassett; and his sister Arlene Wise. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
