She was predeceased by: her former husbands, Gerald Carey and Richard D. Durkee; her daughter Sheila Carey; her sister Arlene Stroup; and her grandchild Cory Navarrette.
She is survived by: her parents, Wilfred Chevalier and Caroline Chevalier (Tedford); her children, Glenda Cohen (Andy) of Framingham, David Carey (Cathy Strom) of Athol and Bruce Carey of Arizona; her siblings, Ray Chevalier of Petersham, Wilfred Chevalier of Athol, Bob Chevalier of Virginia, Joan Cleveland of Indiana, Winifred Chevalier of Vermont, Anne Chevalier of Tennessee and Linda Durkee of Florida; and her grandchildren, Kelly Cohen, Kimberly Cohen, Katherine Cohen, Parker Carey and Ashlyn Carey. She is also survived by many nephews and nieces.
In lieu of flowers the family suggest that donations be made in her memory to Baldwinville Nursing Home – Activities Department, 50 Hospital Rd. Baldwinville, MA 01436.
