He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Christen and Margaret Christen (Nolan); and his sibling Richard Christen. He is survived by: his spouse Elaine Christen (Deschenes); his children, Michael Christen (Dawn) of Carver and Denise Steber (Paul); his sister Donna Mills (Donald) of Rockford, IL; and his grandchildren, Chloe Christen and Connor Christen. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

Memorial donations may be made to St. Bernard's Church.
