We are sad to announce that on June 15, 2018, Joan D. Martel (Assonet, Massachusetts), born in Fall River, Massachusetts passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her spouse Robert G. Martel; her parent Roland Chouinard; her sibling Simone Furtado; and her child-in-law Janet Maclaughlin. She is survived by: her parent Bertha Chouinard (McCarthy); her children, Laurie A. Martel of Assonet, Cheryl M. Buono (Jeff) of Leominster, Bruce R. Martel of Dartmouth, Linda L. Bouchard (Ray) of Fall River and Mark P. Martel (Jennifer) of Fall River; her grandchildren, Sarah, Kyle, Amanda, Jonathan, Kevin and Steve; and her brothers, Paul Chouinard of Fall River and Peter Chouinard of Westport. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Memorial donations in her memory can be made to the St. Vincent de Paul Society c/o Saint Bernard's Church.
