He is survived by: his wife Marjorie Lyons of Ashland; his son Robert Michael Lyons, Jr. of Ashland; and his siblings, Mary Kane of Cambridge, James Lyons of Newton, Edward Lyons of Stoneham and John Lyons of Readville.
