He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Dion and Vera Dion (Whitney); and his son Howard R. Kling. He is survived by: his spouse Gail Dion (McGrath); his children, Richard Dion Jr. of Exeter, NH, Jack Dion (Kathleen) of Malden, Debra Simpson (David) of Londonderry, NH, David Dion (Susan) of Ashville, NC, Laura Pittman (John) of Ashland and Neelle Sorrelle (Eric) of Stuart, FLA; his grandchildren, Casey, John Jr., Kevin, Ryan, Keith, Sara, Hali of Paige, JT, Jacob, Dakota, Dawn Marie, Craig and Matthew; and his great grandchildren, Jack, Henry, Ryder, Wilder, Delilah, Felicia, Samantha, Griffin, Nathan, Brady and Jared. He is also survived by 4 great-great grandchildren.
