It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of John R. Benedict of Ashland, Massachusetts, who passed away on April 12, 2025, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Benedict and Bernice Benedict (Gleason). He is survived by: his spouse Gayle Benedict (Stoddard); his daughters, Kristin Parabicoli (Mark) of Plymouth and Kimberly Fletcher (Gary) of Whitinsville; his grandchildren, Allyson Brady (Sean), Julia Parabicoli and Maria Fletcher; his great grandchild Meadow Louise Brady; his sisters, Margaret Vadney and Ann Alberico; and his siblings-in-law, Peggy Stoddard (Ronnie Cavatorta) and James Stoddard (Sandra). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 15th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Matarese Funeral Home (325 Main St, Ashland, MA 01721). A funeral Mass was held on Wednesday, April 16th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Matthew's Parish (26 Highland St, Southborough, MA 01772). A burial was held on Wednesday, April 16th 2025 at the Follow Wildwood Cemetery (160 Chestnut St, Ashland, MA 01721).
