He was predeceased by: his father Malcolm Smart; and his wife Lela Smart (Bowen). He is survived by: his mother Alice Smart (Leheny); his children, Jamie Smart of Framingham, Tom and Andrew Smart of Ashland; and his brothers, Jeffrey Smart (Angela) of Ashland and Larry Smart of Gainsville, GA. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, and many close friends.
