It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Leona T. (Deady) Sanford of Ashby, Massachusetts, born in Stoneham, Massachusetts, who passed away on October 27, 2022, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Edward Deady and Genevieve Deady (Waters); her husband Robert F. Sanford; her children, Ronald S. Sanford of Epping, NH, Robert F. Sanford Jr. of Chestnut Hill, Robyn B. Wadman of Westford, Leona D. Boudreau of Ashburnham and Laurel T. Sanford of Ashburnham; and her sisters, Lois Deady-Schutlz of Chesapeake, VA, Joan C. Bennett of Washington, GA and Priscilla "Rusty" Olsen of Tampa, FL.. She was also cherished by nine grandchildren and one great grandchild.
For a period of time she worked in the Mayor's office in the City of Malden and was frequently recognized with the Woman of the Month Award for her contributions to the city.
