It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William J. Mahoney of Arlington, Massachusetts, born in Boston, Massachusetts, who passed away on June 17, 2023, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Dennis Mahoney and Johanna Mahoney; his wife Mary Lyle Mahoney; his children, Kathleen Freitas, Susan Heidbreder, Theresa Carey, Dennis Mahoney, William Mahoney, Stephen Mahoney and Michael Mahoney; his stepchildren, Paul Lyle, Jeffrey Lyle, Joy Lyle and Grampy; his sister Joan Smith of Walpole; his sister-in-law Joan Mahoney of Randolph; and his brother Dennis Mahoney. He was also cherished by 19 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Jude's Children Research.
