He was predeceased by: his child Kenneth Whelan. He is survived by: his significant other Barbara Marshall of Arlington; his children, Richard Whelan of Medford, Maura Sullivan of Merrimack, NH and Michael Whelan of Medford; his grandson Brendan Sullivan; and his sons, Trapelo Rd of Christian Burial and Mass of Christian Burial.
