He was predeceased by: his son Leo P. Fontaine; and his siblings, Bryan and Noella. He is survived by: his children, Priscilla (Tobey), Katheryn Fontaine (Michael Camuso) of Haverhill and Michael Fontaine of Arlington; and his siblings, Roland, Claudia and Donald. He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, relatives and close friends.

It has been requested that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made in Leo's name to the American Cancer Society.
