He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Hogan and Lucy Hogan (Noreau); his siblings, Edward Hogan, Lucy Harrington and Mary Peterson; and his daughter Carol-Ann Pitra.
He is survived by: his wife Frances; his children, Thomas (Brenda Hogan), Richard (Kimberly Hogan), Stephen (Charlotte Hogan) and Karen (Brian Pierce) of Colorado; his sisters, Frances Watson of Lexington and Jean Barbieri of Florida; and also Tom. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren.
