He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Bassett and Florence Bassett; and his son Louis. He is survived by: his significant other Helen (Purdon); and his children, Diane, Paul, Dale Mitchell (Brenda) of Pleasant Point, ME, Michael Bassett (Michele) of Billerica, Christopher Bassett of Somerville and Gina Pedrini (Rick) of Medford. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren and many great grandchildren.
