He was loved and cherished by many people including: his spouse Carol Sleeper Betz; his parents, Catherine T. Betz of Arlington and Cambridge; his sibling-in-law Raymond Sleeper (Linda) of Brighton; his nieces and nephews, Christopher Sleeper (Krissy), Cassandra of Melrose, Jennifer and Katherine Nicoloro of Waltham; and his cousins, Margaret Nicoloro (Stephen) of Waltham and Patrick J. Mahoney, Jr (Susan) of Alabama.
