He was predeceased by: his parents, Cornelius T. Donovan of Skibereen Ireland and Mae Harrington-Donovan of Butte, Montana.; his former wife Margaret "Peggy" Donovan; and his siblings-in-law, Jack McKennedy of Westwood, MA and Thomas McCarthy of Westwood.
He is survived by: his sisters, Helen Jordan (John Jordan) of Stoneham, MA and Mary Oliver (John) of Reading; his sister-in-law Helen McKennedy; his wife Susan Nettleton; his daughter Noreen Donovan of Bedford, MA; and his son-in-law Robert Leonard. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
