Alvaro is survived by: spouse Maria (Oliveira); children, Grace Benoit (Dennis) of Arlington, Sara Ferreira (Tony) of Reading and Laurie Kessinger (Dan) of Reading; grandchildren, Hannah, Rachel, Emily, Alex, Olivia, Claudia and Thomas; and siblings, Fernando, Gabriel and Filomena Tavares.
