It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Higgins of Andover, Massachusetts, born in Lawrence, Massachusetts, who passed away on August 10, 2021, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Higgins and Madeleine Higgins; his brother James L. Higgins (Janet); his cousin Ann H. Bride of Andover; and his brothers-in-law, Donald J. MacMillan and William O'Connell.
He is survived by: his wife Nancy L. Higgins (MacMillan); his children, John G. Higgins (Betsy) of Dover, MA, Mary Higgins (John Lechner) of Manchester, MA, James Higgins (Elke) of Vero Beach, FL, Anne Wakelin (Jeff) of Andover, Elizabeth Higgins of Lexington, Caroline Higgins of Andover, Margaret Higgins of Lexington, Kathryn Higgins of Andover and Nancy Dankert (Peter) of Andover; his grandchildren, Peter, Teddy Higgins, John Lechner, Elisabeth Hutchins, Julia, Duncan Lechner, Matthew Higgins, Petty Officer Christian Higgins, Andrew, Bridget Higgins, Henry, Sam Wakelin, Katherine, Elizabeth and Thomas Dankert of Andover; and his great grandchild Alastair Hutchins. He is also survived by his children and grandchildren.
