He was predeceased by: his parents, Patrick Carney and Mary Carney; his son Patrick Shawn Carney; and his siblings, George, John (Pat), Martin, Tucker, Gene, Jim, Dan, Andy, Larry, Leo, Rita and Elizabeth.
He is survived by: his wife Carolyn V. Carney (Volk); his sons, Robert (Ruth Carney) of Stratham, NH and Kevin (Karen Carney) of Andover, MA.; his grandchildren, Rob Carney (Bea Reaud) of Nigeria, Monica Carney of Haverhill, Kaitlin Carney of Haverhill and Kevin (Bronko); his great grandchildren, Cierra, Kaley, Freddie, Thomas, Declan and Sean; and his great-nephew Zach Saum. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and extended family.
