He was predeceased by: his parents, Benjamin Ackerman and Sayde Ackerman. He is survived by: his children, Adam Ackerman, Cheryl Ackerman and Judith Ackerman (Jon Brause); his stepson Brad Bousquet; his grandchild Rowan Ackerman; and his siblings, Jack Ackerman (Sandy), June Eager, Sandra Goldman and Lynn Kugler (Ross Nelson). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society or Magen David Adom in Howie's memory.
