He was predeceased by: his parents, James J. Sullivan and Ellen Sullivan (Sullivan); his daughter Ann Marie Sullivan; and his siblings, Donald M. Sullivan (Loretta) and Therese Marie.

He is survived by: his cousin D. Harold Sullivan; his wife Eileen L. (Purcell); his children, Dennis H. (Florinda) of Tewksbury, Daniel E. Sullivan (Jean Ransom), Mary E. Sullivan of Tewksbury and John F. Sullivan; and his brothers, James J. Sullivan (Alice) and Raymond J. (Lillian). He is also survived by nine grandchildren, more grandchildren on the way, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

They grew and canned most of their food and his father worked several jobs to make ends meet during the Polio pandemic.
