We are sad to announce that on April 10, 2024, William Strickland of Amherst, Massachusetts passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid William farewell, let us not mourn the absence of his physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of his spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For William is not truly gone, but merely transformed, his energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his mother Mittie Louise Strickland; his cousins, Earnestine "Perri" Norman, Dorothy Craig, Gwendolyn Smith, Arthur Norman, Keith Norman, Amy Simpson and Gregory Berry; and his former wife Leslie Lowery.
In lieu of flowers, his close friends Edward Cage and Amilcar Shabazz encourage those who wish to honor Bill Strickland's legacy to donate to Amherst Media in his memory.
