He was loved and cherished by many people including: his mother Rose Matte; his spouse Helen Matte; his children, Keith Matte, Laura "Kim" Matte (Gochee), William Matte Jr, Stephen Matte and Dana Matte (Dan); his stepchildren, Catherine Murphy, Steven Hughes and Tracy Gens; his children, Justin, Jeffrey, Rachel, Andreanna, Brendan and Haley; and his godson Christopher.
