He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Oscar R. Fontaine and Lucienne Marie Desorcy; his wife Claudette L. Fontaine (Grondin); his close friend Lewis Stein; his children, Renee Fontaine-Kennedy (David Babine), Andrew Fontaine (Ludlow), Collin, Gavin Kennedy of Granby and Tina Fontaine (Gerard Keegan); his grandchildren, Hudson and Piper Keegan of Roslindale, MA.; and his siblings, Lucielle Pare, Irene Blanchard (William) of Florida and Donald Fontaine. He was also cherished by sister in laws and their husbands.
Prior to Covid, Roger was a regular attendant to Immanuel Lutheran Church in Amherst.
