He was predeceased by: his daughter-in-law Donna Atkinson; and his siblings, Henry, Paul, Robert Atkinson, Loretta Hughes and Barbara Prochilo.
He is survived by: his wife Rachel Atkinson (Gallant); his sons, Stephen (Katherine) of Amherst, David of West Springfield, Michael (Sheryl) of Nashua, NH and Kevin Atkinson of Agawam; his grandchildren, Steven, Christopher, Lauren, Nicole, Alycia, James, Chandler, Rollin, Richard Wade and Lane; his great grandchildren, Kailynn, Annabelle and Jackson; and his sister Grace Manfre. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
