With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Lothar Mermelstein of Amherst, Massachusetts, who passed away on December 18, 2020 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Terry Mermelstein (Denman); his parents, Isador Mermelstein and Ida Mermelstein (Stein); his children, Hayley Mermelstein of Amherst, MA, Leah Mermelstein of Hoboken and Josh Mermelstein (Anne Mermelstein) of Ashland, MA; his grandchildren, Vince, Celia, Mark and Ariana Mermelstein; and his brother Egon Mermelstein.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Dana Farber/Jimmy Fund in Boston.
