He is survived by: his children, Candyce Lindsay (Tyrone), Treva Polk, Migyon Polk, Dominique Gilmer (Bryan) and Rufus Polk Jr. (Kate); his grandchildren, Terrance Lindsay, Bashir Polk, Aaron Gilmer, Alana Gilmer, Carter Lindsay, Amir Polk and Vivian Polk; his sister Ruby Huewitt (Polk); and his children, Martha B Tolbert (Polk), Jimmy Polk Sr., Annie Jay Gary (Polk) and Althea Walden Barrs (Gerald). He is also survived by cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
