He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Persson and Ruth Persson; his wife Audrey Persson (Murphy); his siblings, Ernie, Paul, Norman Persson and Dorothy Croft; and his grandson Brian Persson.
He is survived by: his children, Richard Persson (Alys Cross) of Westfield, Linda Salemi (Vincent) of East Longmeadow and Donna Tranghese (John) of Wilbraham; his sister Ruth Peppin of Indian Orchard; his grandchildren, Michael (Jen), Marisa (James), Lindsay (Marcus), Nicholas (Michelle), Taylor (Torrey), Kristina (Kyle) and Andrea (Sam); his great grandchildren, Anthony, Nicholas, Sebastian, Ray, Evie, Jake, Drew, Sam, Leo, Myles, Kennedy, Karoline, Kash and Fiona; his daughter-in-law Janice; and his close friend Lorraine Bunarowski.
Visitation will be held on Monday, December 23rd 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Wilbraham Funeral Home (2551 Boston Rd, Wilbraham, MA 01095). A prayer will be held on Monday, December 23rd 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location. The military honors will be held on Monday, December 23rd 2024 at 3:00 PM at the Ma Veteran's Memorial Cemetery (1390 Main St, Agawam, MA 01001).
