He was predeceased by: his parent Winiford M. Hinds. He is survived by: his parent Benjamin Walker; his sister Daphne F. Baird; his children, Christopher Hinds, Ezra Hinds, Colin Hinds, Shirley Hinds, Janice Hinds and Betty Hinds; his siblings, Granville Hinds, Laureston Hinds, Laddy Hinds, Violet Baird and Pearline Headley (Millicent Hinds); and his daughter Patsy Hines.
