With heavy hearts, we announce the death of George Eugene Fontaine (Agawam, Massachusetts), born in Ludlow, Massachusetts, who passed away on June 22, 2021 at the age of 82. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of George Eugene Fontaine to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Fontaine and Annette Fontaine (Bedford); his siblings, Donald Fontaine and Germaine Robbins; his brother-in-law Deacon Leon Mireault; and his grandson George Fontaine.

He is survived by: his wife Joan Fontaine (Drewnowski); his children, Mark Fontaine (Debra), Donna Marie Plucker (Donald) and Ellen Kupiec (Frank Cavallo); his grandchildren, Corey Plucker (Katie Jane), Erin Torte (Michael), Kyle Plucker, Katherine Kraus (Kevin), Carolynn Davis (Jay), Nicholas Kupiec and Alexis Kupiec; his great grandchildren, Savannah, Jack, Hannah, Lacey, Rhiannon, Jaxson, Cameron and Lorenzo; his siblings, Marie Jean Mireault and Louis Fontaine (Theresa); and his siblings-in-law, Maureen Fontaine and Norman. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and extended family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Gene's name to Sacred Heart Parish, 1061 Springfield St., Feeding Hills, MA 01030.
