He was predeceased by: his wife Joyce S. Saegaert; and his siblings, Ilse Limbach, Ivon DeJongh, Dolly Jager, Sonja Jorey, Maria, Diane Saegaert and Charles Saegaert.
He is survived by: his son Raymond L. Saegaert (Wendy) of West Springfield; his grandson Cobus R. Saegaert of Feeding Hills; and his sisters, Cherry Bastiaans of West Springfield and Carla Schaad of Amsterdam. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 12th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Colonial Forastiere Funeral and Cremation (985 Main St, Agawam, MA 01001). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 13th 2024 at 9:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, September 13th 2024 at the Ma Veterans Memorial Cemetery (1390 Main St, Agawam, MA 01001).
In Lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Cobus's name to the Cancer foundation of your choice or American Heart Association.
