It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard A. Elwell (Adams, Massachusetts), born in Pittsfield, Massachusetts, who passed away on October 21, 2022, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Richard Elwell and Albina Elwell (Arnold); his wife Sandra Ann Elwell (Garnish) of Adams; his children, Jackie Kelley of Milford, MA, Tom Elwell of Hamden, CT and Chris Elwell of Edgartown, MA.; his grandchildren, Mike Kelly of Bourne, MA, Patrick Kelley of Wrentham, MA, Sarah Elwell of Washington, DC, Amy Elwell of Frederica, DE, Elizabeth Gebo (Elwell) of West Tisbury, MA and Alexander Elwell of Waltham, MA.; and his great grandchildren, Ty, Drew, Deacon Kelley, Isabella Gebo, Richard, Edward and Martha Joy Elwell.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Richard's name be made to Berkshire County Youth Football, 136 East Road, Adams, MA 01220 or The Food Bank of Western Massachusetts, PO Box 160, Hatfield, MA 01038.
